Survivors of Suicide Memory Garden
The Survivors of Suicide Memory Garden in Cofrin Nature Park, Gainesville, Florida is intended as a place of comfort, meditation and healing for those who have lost a loved one through suicide.  The purpose of this space is to provide solace and peace to those who have experienced this loss though anyone can take in the beauty, comfort, healing and reflection offered by the garden.

Friends Of The Crisis Center: Survivors of Suicide Memory Garden

Dedication for the garden will be Nov 14

On  July 27 from 8 - finish around 6 or so, a special part of the garden will be installed .  It is called the Memorial Circle and is made up of 6 standing basalt columns, with one broken column laying down.  The largest of these columns weighs 1,000 pounds.  Below is a picture of the mockup of the finished circle.  We will have a bobcat operator who will bring in the columns one at a time and then with the crew,  will be putting each column in place.  I hope that we have survivors, as well as people who have been working on this project to be there to help with weeding and/or watching this become a reality.
Also, let me know if you can make it.

Cofrin address is 4810 NW 8th Ave, Gainesville, FL
