Adopt-A-Highway Program

Here is how you can sign up for the program to bring recognition and cooperation in your County.

You can check with your Local Municipality to see if there is a program or

Contact your local Florida Department of Transportation.

Adopt-A-Highway Agreement:

Volunteers agree to:

bullet"Adopt" a two-mile section of a state highway
bulletDedicate two years to the program
bulletFollow specified DOT safety regulations
bulletRemove litter a minimum of four times each year

DOT agrees to:

bulletAssist with safety meetings
bulletProvide safety vests and litter bags
bulletPick up litter at specified locations
bulletPost Adopt-A-Highway signs commending the group at the beginning and end of their section
